This will work only if the panda floats. JustABozoOnThisBus Jul 2021 #13

1) dye it black and white
2) use known solution for weighing black and white pandas

Apply Archimedes‘ principle.

Have a tub full of water, immerse the panda. You now have its volume. Knowing the volume it’s easy to use a Red Pandas known density to derive its weight.

Does anyone know if Red Pandas know enough to hold their breath underwater? Designing Panda sized scuba gear complicates things a bit.

Always better to keep things simple.

My father is a physicist. I'm guessing his solution would be to fire a photon on a straight line accelerator. Then position the red panda near the path of the photon. Measure the curve of the next photon, derive the mass of the panda from its gravitational pull, and convert to weight.

If it floats, it will displace its weight. If not, it will only displace its volume, and it weighs more than that volume of water.

This is why we can know the weight of a witch, but not the weight of a non-witch, since witches float.

The panda’s tail is resting on the floor, throwing off the accuracy!

Just kidding, very cute and thanks for posting.

I loved watching how they taught the animals all kinds of things like this. Like teaching the elephants where to stand if they needed to get a shot.

Every time I see video of one, I think it's a stuffed animal.
