My wife mentioned that she wanted to buy some crystal goblets, and when she visited Facebook, lo and behold, there were crystal goblet offers everywhere.

1. Same thing with Google Home

We have one (a gift a couple of years ago we rarely use other than setting a timer) but have noticed when we discuss something like new home furnishings or clothes shopping our Facebook feed miraculously fill with “sponsored” adds for these things…. Coincidence? 🤔😎

2. It's gone from creepy fo angry for me. I even use "Facebook Container" on Mozilla ...

... and search with duckduckgo.

I think the Alexa we don't use is snitching us out.

4. Wherever you can, such as on your phone or Google account, opt out of "personalized ads."

You want random ads, because they are easily ignored by one's psyche.

5. That happened to me and my granddaughters.

We were in the car talking about "Avengers", one granddaughter had her chrome book and up popped ads for avengers. So its not just Alexa.

6. My Kindle has Alexa.

I asked a question on my cellphone and the Kindle answered it.

It was not even running any apps; just inert standby.
