Breakfast bar is open

This morning it was the kittens patient waiting, at the fence line (of course). Skittish was the one following them, for a change. Scooter has, of course, scooted a bit but not until after having a good nosh. I'm sure when I look out the window, Scooter will be back at the bowl.

All of this is so adorable. It’s like a kitty baby book! Love it!

4. At some point will you try to catch them and take them to a rescue org?

The kits are a good size to begin to be fostered or adopted. I had a family in my yard. A Mom and 3 kits. I cared for them until they were comfortable with me. Eventually I bought a big dog sized carrier. I started putting their food in it. After several days when they weren't leery and had become comfortable eating inside the carrier and having me around, I just walked up to the carrier and closed the door. They weren't happy but I was relieved. I took them to a rescue organization where they would be nurtured and adopted out. I think they were about 3 months old at the time.

The Mom had moved on at that point, which is what I think they do. Once the kits reach a certain point the Mom no longer feels responsible. I felt sorry for one of the kits because all she wanted to do was be near her Mom. Anyway, I think I did what was best for them.

Nobody would be in the least bit surprised if Mittens stays put.

No chance of setting them up with organization that will arrange adoptions?

9. I think the adults are far too feral to ever become pets

I'll gladly keep feeding them.

If we can catch the kittens , I think I'll probably keep Mittens and find homes for Scooter and Spooky Jr.

11. You're probably right about the older cats. So happy you're going to keep Mittens.
