Green Mountain National Forest,Vermont
Much like many other New England woodland areas, it is a temperate broadleaf and mixed forest with plenty of wildlifebeavers, moose, and wild turkeys all roam around amongst the trees.

These are the things I prize
And hold of dearest worth
Light of the sapphire skies.
Peace of the silent hills.
Shelter of the forests, comfort of the grass.

I traveled the United States (work) for 12 years (50 weeks out of the year, living in hotels) and what I can say is there is beauty wherever you go and sometimes we don't see what is in front of us every day... I don't ever take where I live for granted but I witnessed wonderful things most everywhere I traveled...

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
