Two firsts, for me, at a doctor appt, today

My first EKG (perfectly normal, BTW) and my first 'mini cognitive' test, which I passed with FLYING COLORS. My reflexes work just fine, my gut is making the appropriate noises, my lungs and arteries are making no inappropriate noises, and even my ear canals are nice and clean.

Now, if I can just get a handle on this rip roaring anxiety problem, I'd be the perfect specimen of a well aging, feisty female.

She's actually diagnosed me with PTSD. I'm heading out to pick up a couple of prescriptions. And I have some non pharmaceutical things to try.

What I need is to find a good counselor so I'm going to start my search.

Best of luck! I'm glad you at least don't have to worry about the physical health now.

I had to complete a depression assessment (who wasn't a little bit depressed after quarantine?), a fall risk assessment because I'm 70+, and was asked if I felt "safe" with my partner (well YES, which I would possibly not have said about my late ex).

The nice thing is, my APN has no doubt about my spryness. I really haven't slowed down, over the past 3 or so decades. I'm a big believer in 'use it or lose it', for someone like me.

next week and he had to fill out the same questionnaire. It’s the first time I remember him having to do that and he is in his mid 80s. I think it is a very good idea
