I'm not a Cubs fan, but my condolences to those who are...

...because a great era for your team has ended almost overnight. Schwarber was gone, now Rizzo, Baez, Bryant, Kimbrel...the guts of a great team. So it looks like 2016 was the only title they'd win as a team. Well, it was enough. That was a great moment for baseball. And--though it's heresy for a Red Sox fan to say so--Wrigley has Fenway beat all hollow, and Wrigleyville is the greatest urban neighborhood I've ever seen. Good luck to the Cubs and their fans...

You want to talk about a pathetic team with little or no hope, look at the cellar dwellers in the AL East.

Thankfully, I am old enough to remember the Weaver years.

The boy is a serious fan.

Of course I do not think it a coincidence that it was 2016 when the Cubs won a World Series at last....

"You know, the law of averages says anything will happen that can. But the last time the Cubs won a National League pennant was the year we dropped the bomb on Japan."

with the news out of Wrigley this afternoon. Horrible. The Rizzo trade in particular is killing me.

I am sad to see our great rival gutted like a perch before a Friday fish fry.

Cubs fans deserved better.

Who even owns the Cubs these days? They seem to care little about the fan.

As inept as the Wrigkeys were they ay least cared. It always felt like WGN did also.

We were Cubs fans when we lived here back in the 70s, because we lived north side. We were Twins fans when we lived in Minneapolis in the 80s to late 90s Were meh Red Sox fans during the half decade we lived in the Boston area. But when we moved back to Chicago, it was White Sox. They’re doing great so far this year! (Hope saying that doesn’t jinx them.)
