Grew up listening to that over and over as a teen.

(33,643 posts)I love that show but missed the last 2 seasons cause I didn't have cable. Laugh track and all.
Sheldon, Amy, Howard, and Beverly are my faves, but I like all the characters at least a bit.

(29,949 posts)I like all the characters. I wish Raj would have found someone. Even Stewart.
Loved Will Wheaton. Steven Hawking!!!!

(33,643 posts)Perhaps my favorite guest is Bob Newhart though. He's freaking perfect.
Indeed, poor Raj. Kinda think it should've worked out w/him and Anu in the end.
Even Stewart landed himself a beautiful girl ...

(4,123 posts)verses and poetry as punishment. As an 8 year old, memorizing Poe's The Raven really scared the bejeezus outta me

(102,778 posts)I know about those nuns, I went to public school but there were several Catholic schools in that area and I heard plenty about it. That said, I recall some mean teachers at the public schools who took notes from the nuns and emulated their punishment programs.
Oddly, and I don't know what the hell was wrong with those two but, my elder siblings gleefully memorized a good 50% of the works of Lewis Carroll and others like Poe and The Raven, for fun! Seriously, they could recite The Walrus and the Carpenter! And the one about the Jaberwoky (sp?). And then, because I was younger, they would read H.P. Lovecraft and Poe stories before bed, when my sister was being nice she'd read some Greek or Roman mythology, I liked that.
We were a strange family, kind of like the Addams Family.

(33,643 posts)But just to give it a LITTLE challenge, due to sheer volume of lyrics ... I'd probably do Dogs by Pink Floyd.

Skittles
(171,698 posts)one of the first things I looked up n the internet
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go
Fine little girl waits for me
Catch a ship across the sea
Sail that ship about, all alone
Never know if I make it home
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go
Three nights and days I sail the sea
Think of girl, constantly
On that ship, I dream she's there
I smell the rose in her hair.
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go
Okay, let's give it to 'em, right now!
See Jamaica, the moon above
It won't be long, me see me love
Take her in my arms again
Tell her I'll never leave again
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go
Let's take it on outta here now
Let's go!

(24,906 posts)but one day in a high school class I was bored and wrote out the lyrics to Alice's Restaurant in it's entirety. I had listened to it that many times.
Easy ones would be most of the songs on the Sgt. Pepper's album. Probably because the lyrics were all printed on the album cover and I used to read along as I listened. Rolled a lot of joints on those lyrics, too.
