She took a sniffing tour of the living room but then she did jump up on the couch for some much needed scritching.

Much nicer than when she does that in the middle of the night, headbutting and meowing me into wakefulness. But under the circumstances, I give her all of the middle of the night attention she wants.

I'm sure, in time, she will settle down.

Would you list all the kits you've save with their respective Moms and indicate which ones you've brought indoors and which ones are still roaming fee. I've gotten so confused as to who is a mother and which kits are related to who. Only if you want to that is. Thanks.

I got her when she was maybe 8 months old. The place was a true nightmare - like something from that tv show. I had another rescue from the same house - a Tortie I named Boudicca. She died a few years back.

These kittens are a feral's litter.

The older kittens (Mittens, Scooter and Spooky Jr) are Skittish Kitty's kittens. They are all ferals that I've been feeding. I'm trying to remember when I first saw them. I'll have to dig back through photos but they are probably at least 4 months old.

Trust me - it's exhausting keeping track!

So Sophie Stinky Toes is your 15 yo rescue who you've had since she was 8 months old. This is where i got confused. I must have missed when you mentioned her as your original pal. I thought she was another of the ferals.

So here's the family. Do I have it right?

Spooky - Feral Mom of these cats,
Smokey (Hisser) and Sootie (Sweetie Pie) (Solid Grays)
Squeaky (Solid Black)
Maggie (Black & White)

And which is the one you think you'll keep?

And little Squeaky is (hopefully) going to be adopted by a friend. So, that will leave Smokey and Sootie open for adoption. Hopefully I can find homes for them, via friends/family.

The funny thing about Smokey is, he was full of spit and hiss behavior, up until this morning. Now he's pretty darned content with his current circumstances.

Maggie will go well with her big sister Sophie.

There's a chance that I might have just found homes for Smokey and Sootie, too. Fingers crossed. I'll keep them together for a while, though.
