So it's important to reassure Squeaky that he DOESN'T look like a rabid vampire bat, after a bath. I hope he's not one because he's curled up next to my neck, right now.
And, damn, the water was the same color as the kitten food, when I was done. Madoc got the same treatment, but endured it with a bit more dignity. So, as an update, after being cuddled and kissed, they are curled up with their sisters, sleeping off the indignities.
The girls seem to have perfected the art of eating neatly so their baths can wait. The boys were becoming encrusted. There's still something I can't melt off of Squeaky but I'll try again. Trust me. I'll try again.

(26,298 posts)I am glad they are napping. I've been up since 5 o'clock and this is only the 2nd time I've sat down without kittens crawling on me. The first was at breakfast, AFTER they, Sophie and the ferals were all fed. Who knew 4 kittens could be this much work. And this much fun.

(26,298 posts)And holy cow do they have great appetites! I'm slowly transitioning them to wet food by cutting it with kitten milk. They lick those bowls clean! And, to be on the safe side, I'm still giving them water from either a bottle or eye dropper, just to make sure they are well hydrated.
