anyone watch this series . I'm watching it on Acorn, and am looking for another murder mystery series, non-American.
Is Brokenwood worth staying with?

(43,165 posts)I highy recommend Only Murders in the Building.
Steve Martin and Martin Short. Selena Gomez. They are podcasters solving a mystery in their Manhattan cooperative apartment building.
Steve Martin and Martin Short are hilarious, and the casting for the movie is excellent. I particularly like the co-op manager.
I have watched every episode twice, just because I enjoy it so much.

(19,745 posts)A bunch of retirees/almost retirees get assigned to a Cold Case Team led by a 40ish go getter woman who was moving up the ranks before being put in the penalty box. Great group of characters.
I also enjoyed Lupin. It isnt a murder or police show instead or follows a clever gentleman cat burglar through heists in Paris.

(42,033 posts)They are now filming series 8.
Love Gina, she is so good and gets better with every season.
800 Words is also on Acorn, also from New Zealand and very quirky.
Now Im watching My Life Is Murder with Lucy Lawless. Season one was filmed in Australia and season two they moved the show to New Zealand.

(8,834 posts)Brenda Blythen is wonderful as Vera. I might add that the books by Ann Cleeves on which Vera is based are worth every minute of your time. There is also an excellent murder series based in Australia during the 1950s which is excellent. The main character is a doctor in a small town. I cant remember the title.
Also, Lucy Lawless stars in an Australian detective series. This is its second season. Cannot remember the title but it is good. It has Murder in the title. I watch it on Acorn via Prime Video.

(3,466 posts)I thought it was a little cheesy. Line Of Duty is fantastic. Life On Mars is really unusual and also great.
