Heartwarming and creative. Any idea if the mended wing attached as a permanent replacement?

BTW, butterfly enthusiasts collect "used" butterfly wings for this purpose. They use them to repair the wings of Monarchs that have broken wings.

The woman who fixed the butterfly's wing with a feather is a hero. I'm glad she and the butterfly met, she saved his life.

Particularly considering the effort it took to save a creature that has such a short lifespan. "Monarch butterflies typically live from 2 to 6 weeks except for the last generation of the year, which can live up to 8 to 9 months."
Lovely story.
