Here's my latest Cell Phone Saga! This last Monday I attempted to renew the

service on our old 3G phones but our provider just sneered at me and suggested I
purchase new units. So I checked out what they had and chose a 4G flip phone that
I think we'll be comfortable with. These phones are "refurbished" since they didn't have any new units in stock but the satisfaction rating is the same so I said "what the heck" and dove in.

Of course I had to buy service plans so the two phones and plans were charged to
my debit card. I got an email notice that the deal went through then later another email on Tuesday, September 28, that the units had shipped. I had them sent to my Post Office Box since that's most convenient for me.

Then I read about DeJoy screwing us over with his (further) mail slowdown. I got
concerned about how we're always getting DeJoyed up but decided to see how things turned out. I paid a premium cost for shipping to my PO number and was given a window of 4 to 5 days for receipt of the goods. "Great", I thought, "maybe I'll see them in my lifetime".

Since I had received a USPS Tracking Number in one of my emails I began trying to
track the shipment. but the USPS just sneered at me. (There's a lotta sneering going on.) So today, Saturday. October 2, 2021 I decided to go to my PO just to check it
out. (Y'see, Friday of each week is when I regularly go to the PO.) And I wasn't
disappointed for there in my PO box was a key to a mail locker and in the locker was
a box and in the box were the two phones I had ordered! "YAY!" I silently exclaimed.

I found that there was some assembly required so I assembled. Then I read that
each phone must charge at least 5 hours before proceeding. So now I'm charging and without much to do until at least 7 pm (U.S. Mountain DST) except relate all this
to you.

I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.

I've been with them about 8 years. I just buy the Motorola phones. My new phone was $150. The voice on my old phone had a problem after 3 years. My voice kept fading in-and-out & folks couldn't hear me.

My brothers have iPhones and they cannot tell me what their very expensive phones can do that my Motorola can't.
They said theirs have better cameras but I may use the camera a couple times a year.

Oh, the point being --> My phone was shipped via US mail and I got it in three days.

From what I understand, they won't be supported anymore come next spring.

of 2020 but we made it this far. I'm not opposed to upgrading when necessary. It's
either that or going back to two tin cans and a string!

I finally moved up to 4g 2 years ago, and will stay with this phone as long as possible.
