On a trip from DC to NZ, a bird strike took out the plane coming from NZ to LAX.
So with minimal stuff, in the interim we were housed in a hotel and invited to ride a shuttle to Huntingdon Beach.
Got to touch the Pacific ((not to wade in it, my major luggage was withheld)).
As someone from the East Coast, it was weird to see "cliffs" at the seashore.

As a native of the southern West Coast of the US, I've never seen such cliffs (in person), and can't imagine what you're describing as cliffs. Can you explain?
