This may not be lighthearted enough for the Lounge.

But…

I had a virtual work meeting today where we were required to break into smaller groups and discuss how we were dealing with the stress of the pandemic.

Some said exercise, some said celebrating holidays, families, pets. I noticed a few coworkers said nothing at all, including me. So I chimed in with hey, some of us *aren’t* handling it well and that’s ok too. Another of the quiet coworkers chimed in to say they too were struggling.

And a pox on the house of the coworker that then said hey, exercise works well.

How about I’m doing double the work because we lost a tech staff member and that’s what’s causing my stress? F off, exercise coworker.

There was too much cross talk about various exercise and deep breathing techniques.

The recent attempt to hire the position has failed so I’m pretty frustrated with the work load.
