I thought of titling this How stupid are we?
Do people truly write an advice columnist for, well, advice?
This woman wrote, saying her husband has a medical condition which causes him to get sick if he eats/consumes any milk or dairy products.
They have some dear friends whom they visit weekly for game night (cards, etc).
The hostess always prepares food for game night that contains milk or dairy products,
saying Oh, a little bit wont hurt you.
This couple eats the food (not wanting to offend the hostess). Then after getting home the husband is sick from eating the food that contained milk or dairy products.
This happens week after week after week.
The woman writes Dear Abby to ask What shall we do?
My response would be to hit your husband over the head with a fry pan and tell him to stop eating the food.
Dear Abby simply said Eat before you go or take your own food.

Don't open the window or turn on the fan.
That'll teach 'em.
