I'm not too terribly worried. It's laproscopic, so less chance of things to go wrong. She has a great day nurse who will be there again tomorrow 7am to 7pm.

The wonderful nurse and I just happened to talk about chocolate today, so I got lots of her favorite, butterfingers, a bag of assorted chocolate fun bars, some smarties and a fun size bag of skittles and a big Halloween bowl. I'm going to give it to her to share with her co-workers tomorrow.

I am a thirty year nurse. I'm happily working private duty with a 2 year old. I worked about 25 years on the floor. My job now is wonderful. I just adore my little patient.

Actually, she got out Thanksgiving Day, I made the dinner, and all was well. I made sure to purchase a couple of boxes of Godiva chocolates for the nurses and anyone else working on her ward.

I know all too well what it's like to work weekends and holidays.

We are on a road trip with our popup camper and our dog through southern Oregon, northern Idaho, to SW Montana. Just following where the road takes us.

We found a spot up on Lolo Pass with internet! Weird!

Goddamn beautiful country out here!

That's as close as I want to get.

I drove through Trump-Country Eastern Washington this afternoon. Far fewer Trump signs standing out in the farm fields this time. Kind of nice to see.

Or not see, at least...

Traveling? You reside further west, I believe?

Every drumpf sign we see gets a big bird from us both.

But enjoying the local yokels. We have so much in common. Just don't bring up politics!

I got back late from Paris (1:00 instead of 11:00), and then had 2 hours of paperwork to plough through. Woke up about 20 minutes ago (now about 8:20), made myself some hot tea, and will find out shortly if I have to rush out of bed to run down to Frankfurt or not. If not, I may have to run over to the Netherlands instead. They are journeys of about equal length, but Frankfurt is easier because the trains from Düsseldorf leave about every half hour, and to Holland only once every two hours.
