If you're much older than a Generation Xer or if you're a good bit younger, your chances of knowing that song are much reduced. The main reason I know it is because GNR made a very popular video of the song that MTV played the hell out of, back in the day. When I was a teen until I was well into my early adulthood, MTV played videos. I don't know what they play now, so there's a lot of music after 2000 that I'm not familiar with. We're all ignorant of some things.
