(28,405 posts)I'm a cat person, and my current feline is a Siamese and tabby mix, which mainly means she's very vocal and wants to discuss or even debate things with me. LOL. She's a great cat and I'm very happy she is in my life.

(25,355 posts)Just looked like a moggy tabby when I got him at 8 weeks old from an animal shelter.
At home, I noticed that he had a LOT of energy, even for a kitten. And a funny sounding meow. I had never known a Siamese before except in pictures so I did not make the connection.
But when I took him to the vet for shots and he didn't like it, his complaining meow startled the vet, coming from a tabby. After a complete check of the cat's body shape, eyes, and ears, the vet said he was half Siamese.
He had typical Siamese behaviors, like following us everywhere, being a talker, and being smarter than any cat I've known, until my present one who is a mix of moggy and Egyptian Mau.

(59,592 posts)making its coat shine. I hadn't realized Toygers also had glittery coats. There are a lot of Bengals with similar markings and coats.
Editing to add that the reason it looks so much like a Bengal is that Toygers were created by crossing Bengals with domestic tabbies. Judging by the glitter, that was one of the Bengal traits that was most desired. The breed was created by the daughter of the woman who created the Bengal breed by crossing domestic cats with the Asian leopard cat.

(59,592 posts)Gold glitter in this case, with that coloring. Other Bengals might have silver glitter.
I think that's a purebred Bengal, anyway. Occasionally mixed breed cats can look a lot like Bengals.
Many years ago I rescued a tiny feral kitten that vets identiified as a lynxpoint, a Siamese/tabby mix, but I was asked more than once if she was a purebred Bengal, a snow leopard Bengal. Don't think so, since no purebred Bengal kitten should have been abandoned near a creek. But her coat did have the silver glitter some Bengals have -- she literally sparkled in sunlight. She also had the unusually thick, muscular tail Bengal cats have.

(32,037 posts)I start on Monday, gather 3 or 4, and go from there. I have FB friends who post memes, and others who post the AWW pics. I take my time, and pick and choose. Usually, I'm done by Thursday night.
This means that on Friday, my friends start posting even better stuff.
