I have 3 that regularly visit and raid my bird feeders. They aren't particularly skittish about me....but I ain't feeding them hotdogs.

8. We bolted our chimney flap when we heard "bang-bang" one night..LOL

We never used the fireplace anyway and the flue has been shut since 1994. After we heard the "bang-bang", we called someone out to make sure that there weren't any in the chimney and then we had it bolted shut for good.

The flap was to keep rats out. I never imagined raccoons would try to get in..LOL

I live in South Texas and have no use for a fireplace.

Don't feed any wildlife except, perhaps birds. And even then, you have to be careful of diseases and luring them to cat death as well as attracting other wildlife that should not be fed.

5. Love deer!

My neighbors made me stop feeding them due to the tick problem. They had a good point, BUT also, my feeding them made them less fearful of people and they should fear people. We have bow hunters in the neighborhood!!
