We love arugula---or "ruchetta"---or "rocket", as you prefer. It loves cool temps and I planted

some in late August behind my compost bin. Wow! With all the rain it has really prospered.

Went out to pick a salad's-worth this morning and found a bonus: a couple of 12 inch tall volunteer dill plants that "escaped" their bed around the corner and now stood above the arugula. Mrs. A REALLY likes fresh dill chopped on top of a salad.

That's already been done. Covered fresh garden salad in the fridge.

2. One of our cats absolutely LOVES arugula.

He snarfs it down as if it were tuna. He knows the crackly sound of the plastic bag it comes in, and appears in seconds when he hears it.

I love an arugula, raddichio and endive salad with fresh shaved parmesan and tossed in an EVOO herbed vinaigrette!
