Don't address letters in cursive, rather write in print. The reason, people in the mail sorting facilities often can not read peoples' handwriting, either because it is too sloppy or difficult to read or they can't read cursive at all. It will get put aside until someone else can read it and this can delay delivery for days.

The 6 and 7th digits of a ZIP+4 indicate a delivery sector like a group of streets or a group of buildings or PO Boxes. The 8 & 9th digits designate a specific side of a street, a floor in an office or apartment building, or a specific department in a building.
