I might need to change how I close out emails and letters

Over the past few years I have used the following closing when sending informal correspondence.

(body of text)

Regards,

My name

Lo and behold, I was typing a message today and ended up with the following:

(body of text)

Retards,

My name

That gives my message a completely different meaning.

1. We all have those days

2. I only use "Regards" as a closing

when it is one of those messages that I am really thinking "You lousy two bit Son of a .........." other than that I use "Sincerely"

3. I use "Cordially". Sarcastically.
