(620 posts)My Uncle Luther who lived in Niagara falls, loved Canadians, but he also had a wicked sense of humor. He would refer to them as "sneaky Canadians", because it was such a ridiculous idea.
It looks like he was right.
He also coined the phrase "I thought they'd never leave", when a beloved family member left after a visit. He always said it under his breath just loud enough for the subject to hear. In my extended family it has since become the customary thing to say when relatives head for home after a visit, usually shouted in unison.
