Driving is just great.

Soooo, I was driving on my residential street being tailgated by a fire engine red Porsche.

I didn’t move right because I knew what was ahead, Mr. Porsche didn’t. He zoomed around the right and almost crashed into substantial road closure materials (no workers).

I zoomed past him as he stopped inches from the barrels.

I believe my Prius was snickering.

Auf Deutsch.

slippery road.

He eventually zoomed aroune me, honking & flipping me off as he went. About a mile up the road, there he was in the ditch. I honked & waved (full hand, not just one finger).

I’m driving at least the speed limit and speed demon pulls around me like they’re on their way to a fire and about 15 seconds later I’m stopped at the light right next to them. I look over at them and laugh. Sometimes they look straight ahead and try not to look at me. Occasionally, one will look at me and yell something like “what are you laughing at” sometimes with curse words added to it.

Hot summer night and there was a line of cars to get into the tunnel. I had my squeeze with me. Traffic was inching up to the toll booth at the speed of 1/2 mile per hour.

Car next to me has convertible top down and a couple of guys in the car. Next thing, the driver honks at me.... he and his passengers start cursing at me. This continues for about 10 minutes... honking and cursing.....

Finally, I pay the toll and get into a lane going into the tunnel. As I look to the right lane, a cop proceeds to pull the convertible over while I proceed into the tunnel. As I entered the tunnel, the last image in the mirror is the convertible still pulled over to the side of the road....

Me and G with smiles on our faces.

which is basically about 400 miles of desolate two lane highway. Semi trucks were going 80 mph.

I hit 100 mph several times to pass people. At one point two vehicles, an Audi high end sports car and a Lincoln Navigator SUV passed me. They must have been going about 125 mph. Five miles or so down the road a cop had them pulled over and was putting cuffs on them. I snickered and told my wife "See that, pass me and your ass goes to jail".

. . . of back in '68 or so --- I was in my red convertible at a stop light, and a muscle car pulled up in the next lane. Driver looked at me and grinned, and started gunning his engine. Seriously? I just smiled and shook my head, he kept gunning his engine. The light changed, and he squealed out racing down the street, while I took my sweet time and enjoyed the view of a squad car emerging from an alley to pull the guy over. Yes, I smiled and waved as me and my Corvair cruised on by.
