The booster knocked us on our asses

Hubby and I got our booster shots Friday morning. Yaay!

We were fine for the rest of the day, cards with our pod, nice and easy day.

Around 9 pm, our was dead tired and sore everywhere except for the shot area. That isn't unusual for me seeing as how I'm ready for sleep early. In fact, a 3 hour nap around 5pm is my normal and I didn't get it that day. I also had the worst headache I've had in years.

I woke back up at about midnight feeling nauseated which is very unusual for me. The best way to describe it that it was almost identical to the food poisoning I got from rice several years ago. I drank water and squelched it down for as long as I could until I threw up at 4am.

That's when hubby got feverish sweats alternating with shakes, chills, and clammy sweats. Between the two of us, we had every single side effect on listed on all the websites.

We slept off and on most of the day yesterday. I took Nyquil around 10pm and woke up this morning feeling great! Hubby is still feeling awful. I keep hoping that he will give Nyquil a try tonight (he won't take it because it affects him too much for his liking).

My MIL got her booster and had practically no side effects, not even a sore arm.

I hope that nobody else had a rough time like we did.

What kind of vaccine did you have?

I felt tired the next day and had a long nap. That happens from time to time with me vaccine or not.

My arm was much sorer than the other two.

I hope you and yours feel better soon.

Seems I've heard Moderna boosters cause more negative reactions.

Had J & J in March, only effect a mild headache and tiredness.
This was different. Felt like complete crap yesterday. Chills, muscle aches, headache all day. Hope this means the shot worked! A lot better today.

J&J in April, slight Vax illness, Moderna booster late Friday afternoon (4pm), ok on Fri, but could feel the body aches creeping up. Went to sleep and must have hit me in the middle of the night because I woke up around 6:30am because I couldn't get comfortable in bed. My whole body was so sore, it hurt wherever I made contact w/ the mattress.

Chills and headache, couldn't get much of anything done or go anywhere. Slept all day yesterday w/ a few breaks in between. Same today, but only slightly better. Hoping that I will feel better tomorrow. One caveat: I also got the flu shot at the same time, so that could have something to do with the fact that this is a little worse and lasting longer than it is for most other people.

Headache, sleepy and sore joints and a bit of nausea.
Biggest difference with the Booster was this all didn't hit me until nearly 20 hours after my Booster shot.

First Vaxx the ickys started within the first 5 hours after the shot.
Second shot..just sore arm at Vaxx site.

With all..fine a day or so after side-effects.

Me and hubby got our boosters last Monday - me Moderna, and him Pfizer. I had a sore arm for 2 days, but nothing bad for hubby. I remember how you had a terrible time with the first round of shots - so NOT fair!!! Anyway, I hope you are doing well (((hugs)))

Here's my update:

I woke up yesterday morning feeling great! Even after having nothing to eat but the milk in my coffee and a cup of apple sauce on Sunday. Having an empty digestive tract felt good.

Hubby was still feeling awful yesterday but he woke up this morning feeling better.

Whew! I'm glad this ordeal is over.
