| No Trick or Treaters. Guess I shouldn't have turned off all the lights and hid in the bedroom with All the candy. 😈 | |

(9,068 posts)We're on a busy road connecting Chester and Washingtonville in NYS. Not much chance of any kids coming by.

(118 posts)In the 10 years we have lived here.
I also take my son elsewhere to go out to a town with sidewalks, so Im not at all surprised.

(3,819 posts)Moved last year. Old neighborhood had 300-350 goblins every year. Our neighbors would sit with us on the front porch drinking whiskey and wine.
New neighborhood...17 total at the door.
Steep hill must be a deterrent.

(4,671 posts)our kid's home. It was at first misty then harder rain, but Mom, Dad, and Auntie L took grandson and friends around the neighborhood. Most of our little goblins numbering about 30 were supervised and had very cute costumes. We passed out the candy treats and retired inside at 8PM for our traditional SIL-chef's butternut squash soup w/wo onion parmesan croutons supper. Totally delightful evening...

(1,171 posts)they go the rich, old fucks across the way. Sometimes, they get ceramics, mostly it's real chocolate like cups and Snickers.

(162 posts)All lights out both inside and out I had over thirty knock and many more looked but passed by. 100 home community in an area with many rural homes-for those kids this place is a bonanza-last year lights on we ran thru over 200 treats, though I saw my roommate hand out 2 pieces to many. Hope to be better off next year.
