Add one young and dumb long-hair kid
Add alcohol to taste, then double it
Add one young woman sitting alone
Stir till well mixed
Add one boyfriend of young woman who was just gone to the restroom

Makes one weeks worth of brouhaha

pitching a fit, starting a donnybrook, inciting a riot, and pushing people's buttons. All true except for the riot part. That was someone else.

Short sleeves thereafter. Collared shirts at work and in public, never buttoned down. No cuffs on trousers but front pleats on some and plain front on others. Sweatpants and t-shirts at home.

I have been cuffed a few times but never collared. I have been wedgied but never pantsed. I have been in love but never romanced. I made up that last line because it rhymed with the one before.

I've harbored a shirt fixation since I first read "The Great Gatsby." He was reported to have had a closet full of shirts that could make one cry.

Incidentally, I've been pantsed, but never forcibly.

The first serious occasion I was "asked" to take a time out from college and I got an "F" in that class. That brouhaha started when a teaching assistant threw a piece of chalk at me after I spoke my mind. I was a bit miffed because I knew I was right. An overhead projector was broken and the campus police were called. As an undergraduate I didn't yet understand how badly life as a teaching assistant sucks.

They let me back into school but I had to promise to be nice to teaching assistants.

A few years later, when I was getting everything in order to graduate, a dean told me "I think you should apply for graduate school, Hunter. But not here."
