(102,793 posts)I like the texture a little better, squash seems a little loose and reacts to the wet ingredients differently than the potato does.

(168 posts)I used to make pie with butternut squash. My dad liked it better than pumpkin. Ive never had sweet potato pie.

(34,189 posts)In fact I have several sweet potatoes in my fridge right now that are baked. I get out half of one, squeeze the meat out of the skin, roughly chop it, put a little butter on and microwave it until the butter is melted. YUM!
