and was trying this and that. The on-screen prompt to correct whatever the problem
was didn't do anything so I took steps to try to correct it.
Using my TV remote I tried this setting and that setting. I was going to reset my
system modem but our internet was working fine. Finally I did shut off one tv setting
then changed the physical input from DMI 1 to DMI 2.
This involved a certain amount of physically moving my tv around and voila! Everything's working just fine now.
I think my tv is on it's last legs and I'll stay ready to head to The Big Box Store for
a replacement! Technology; can't live with it and can't live without it!

(2,239 posts)I bricked a Sony LED when I flash updated the firmware once, don't know what the hell went wrong. But it's fairly easy to fix these by just swapping out the power or main boards now. Found one for my set on Ebay for 17 bucks. Shazam! Came right on like nothing happened.

(14,118 posts)since my son's tv was out too and we both depend on the same feed. I did check
online for cable problems but they said it wasn't them. HA HA Sure, I believe that.
But all is well for now. My tv and my son's are working fine.
