Anyone else wear their mask and get a little thrill to trigger covidiots?

I live in the deep south and get "the look" from the dumbasses who don't get it. So far I haven't had anything said to me and I don't know what my response would be if I did. But I hope I'm getting to them a little. Yeah, it's petty, but it's the little things that make life sweet.

I wear a mask to protect myself from the folks who do wear them, but most importantly to protect myself from those who choose not to, whom I also have to assume have not been vaccinated. As to what any of them happen to think, I care not one wit as I am certain they do not care what I think.

8. There are times I'm the only one in a mask but I don't care, and I'm proud

of that attitude. I’m in no position to get covid given my other current health issues. Lots of anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers here in south central PA. Ugh.

I love to wear them in sporting goods stores and other establishments with high concentrations of anti mask / anti vaccine idiots.

If they ask why you’re wearing a mask you have so many opportunities to shit on them. Tell them you’ve been incredibly ill and watch their face go white.

The ones who are really obnoxious are even easier to bait. When the geriatric, white haired white guy wearing a Trump hat asks why you wear a mask… make sure let him know you wear it for same reason you wear a condom when having relations with his mother: so you don’t catch anything from their nasty asses.

15. I was the almost the only one wearing a mask

today in a local market. No one said anything. If and when they do, I have no idea how I will respond. I have several plans in my head. Some more polite than others.

but before delta reached my area, I got strange looks and some snickers, but no comments.

Now that delta infections are over 9% in my area, a few more people are wearing masks and people at least realize why I still wear one. But mask wearing is still very low around here, which probably accounts for the very high rate of infection.

ones who really lean into not wearing masks. They walk around the stores like they are heroes on D-Day. People just blow them off. You can see them coming a mile away in the parking lot. Sad, really.
