6. Having kids to help decorate is just the best! They are so cute!!!

Ever since my daughter moved away I have not been as enthusiastic about putting up the decorations. We have a small tree this year, with about 5% of our ornament collection on it; we aare going to put a garland on our front door frame.

There were several Christmases That I did not bother with a tree because husband was working out of town and I was alone.

At least he is now retired and we did this together.

Loses a lot of luster and excitement when there are no littles around.
