is there an unwritten contractors code for porta potties?

We have two driveways. The "upper" driveway is forested and goes pretty far into our property. This summer, we had a bunch of work done and the porta potty was parked up there in the woods. It was relatively convenient for the contractors to use, as their work took them on that side of the house.

We have a short project going on right now, and the contractors had a porta potty dropped into the lower driveway late last week. It's a bit more inconvenient for us, just because it blocks our (already limited) view backing out of the garage, but their work takes place right near the garage so it's a no-brainer to park it there. It is right off the road in our paved driveway.

I just noticed a different contractor pull up, put on his emergency blinkers, and use the porta potty (I have a view of the driveway from my home office; I literally can't help but have noticed).

Is this a thing - using random porta potties by other contractors? I'm not overly worried to be honest - the work should be complete this week so I'm doubting that the unit will be filled up in that short time. There are a lot of contractors milling about the neighborhood but it's a pretty low-use road. We joke about it being rush hour when we see 5 cars go by in 15 minutes after 5 pm.

I'm not paying for it directly, but of course the cost is wrapped up in the overall project cost.

THose guys never get to stop, so I'd be happy if I were the homeowner to give them a break.

5. Oh yes. During my daughter's home remodeling, her potty was popular.

Bikers, runners, dog walkers, delivery drivers, and misc. strangers would stop and use it. She didn't really mind, as long as the contractor kept it emptied as needed.

USPS letter carriers, Amazon drivers, dog walkers....

Portland has placed dozens of red ones in neighborhoods where houseless folks live in cars, RVs, and tents.

The city is also dispatching "sewer suckers" to homeless camps to empty tanks of RVs so these folks won't just open the valves over a street drain.

People gotta go!
