someday, on my very own computer, I would view a picture like you have posted.

Even owning a computer...was beyond my imagination. Hearing about them on TV was amazing.
I recall "Star Trek" and thinking that those ideas of ".. Hand held" COMPUTERS" ..are rediculous...
..Like......................
......talking to one...(a hand held one too)...(BEAM ME UP SCOTTY)...do you remember that??

Eniac.

I recall some tv show that had Eniac and the stuff it was able to do. Problem was, that stuff was meaningless to me.

There is more computer power in my cell phone than was used to get Armstrong to the Moon. But I put mine to a better use. I play Angry Bird with it.

You'll see a smaller light, that's Milwaukee, then you'll come to where I live, Sheboygan, and then Manitowoc.

the sky part is the center of the milky way galaxy, which should be to the SOUTH, not hovering over the earth's north pole

That image is the stuff science fiction is made of.

Never in my lifetime did I ever imagine I'd see an actual photograph like that, showing so much of our world, and infinity in the same frame.
