Since I was the tallest member of the family, I was the one that decorated the top portion of the tree. We never had to give a tree a hair cut at top for it to fit inside the house though.

from my parents' front yard - they wanted it gone - it had gotten too big.
I cut it down and took it home to put out in the corner of my deck - overlooking a valley. My neighbor asked if I had stolen the 'official White House' tree.
I covered it with the 'icicle lights' that we had used at our last house (too much climbing to do them here) and I swear you could hear the meter running when we lit the tree!
