Suggestions on Hyundai or Kia. We're looking to replace our 2007 Santa Fe.

Edit to add: Performance is key. Driving 300 miles per week in So Cal 405 and 210 freeways.

Thanks in advance.

My son has a 2020 Santa Fe and is very happy with it. My friend wanted a sedan - easy in and out for her elderly mother - and is very happy with her 2019 Sonata. Has all the bells and whistles I want in my next car, backup camera, heated seats, etc.

Still eligible for $7500 tax credit. Clean, reliable, low maintenance costs. Ultra-low fuel costs (1/4 to 1/3 the cost of gasoline), plus no muffler, fuel pump, oil pump, water pump, cat converter, radiator, oxy sensors, oil changes, alternator, and brakes last about three times longer due to regen braking.

Next door neighbors purchased new 20 telluride. Steering wheel vibrates constantly like my vibrator due to a known transmission issue. Stealership can’t and won’t resolve. Kia won’t replace under California Lemon Law. Lawsuit pending.

Great looking car. Has enough room for my music gear, at 60 mph on the freeway I can get the mpg up to 51 or 52. It's not a hybrid. Pretty amazing. Even at 75, it hovers around 41-42 mpg if conditions are good. Other than the occasional noisy valve issue that will be covered for as long as I own the car if it ever causes a failure, I will buy another one.

Love it love it love it. It's been redesigned since then, supposed to be even better. Kona and Palisade are pretty sweet too.
