Today is the day..,
Today is the start of Hibernation Time. The family holidays are done back home from travels downstate, safe and sound, traveling on a beautifully odd Michigan late December day, sunny and warm.
There is an impending icing event scheduled for tomorrow not really bad but I dont want to venture out.
Before the traveling holidays we stocked up so car trips are probably unnecessary til March at least. We can walk to everything we need in our beautiful little town of Hale. Alwards Market that has to best smoked bacon in the world. Rogerss Family Foods accessible snowshoeing across the field out back, maybe quarter mile. Senior Center approximately half mile featuring Pickle Ball and community news. Filled gas tank in the car, ready for anything.
Its a time for flights of fancy, fantasy dreams, hopes for the next years garden. Its the time for getting caught up on reading books that caught my eye this last autumnal season. If possible!
Hopefully we get enough snow so we can make our snowshoe trails across the field out back and into the forest. Great exercise plus it gives some people groomed hiking trails our neighbors use the trails for hiking and the deer and rabbits use them for getting around.
Experimenting with an entirely new way, well for me anyway, growing hydroponic cannabis geared toward sustainable autoflower grows. This summer I successfully pollinated one branch of my last grow of Magic Melon and received about 30-40 seeds from that branch. It held probably 15 good buds. Germinated one seed from the bunch I received and its doing awesomely. Need to get some starting for growing this spring got a little time, hibernation party first.
