Message boards including here are notorious for bad spellers or using "auto-correct" that puts the wrong words in.

I listen to people on TV constantly use the plural instead of the singular, especially sports announcers, e.g. the team is on "their" way to the playoffs.

Robo-journalism, AI generated ‘stories’, are more common than commonly known. Used by AP, Reuters, LA Times….

I love writing. Hurts to see it so debased.
