What's this trend of people naming all their kids names that begin with the same letter?

I was lucky with common "R" names.
My brother got "Rene" and don't ask about his middle name.

My daughter and her husband named their kids, so the names they picked are different from their own, but each of the kids have the same initials as either their Mom or Dad. I thought it was cool when I noticed.
