(4,345 posts)1. Thanks for the nightmare I'll be having! I had 10 rattlers in less than 2 months last summer
and this summer is going to be earlier this year cuz it was almost 70-degrees today.

There were rattlers all over it. In the cooler months they would come out every day and sun themselves on the concrete. I wore 16 lineman boots just in case I got too close. They werent aggressive and would let you know they were there. We eventually got used to each other.

(129,730 posts)4. I've never seen a rattlesnake except in a zoo.
The only rattlesnakes in this state (MN) are timber rattlers, which live in the bluffs along the Mississippi, but they're shy and rarely seen. They are also the only venomous snakes in the area.
We do have wolves and bears, though.
