The dropped pants trend always reminded me of a toddler walking around with a loaded diaper.

(12,132 posts)I wear shorts, t-shirts and flip flops most of the time. If it's "cold" out I might wear a long-sleeve t-shirt. 99% of my t-shirts are band shirts I get at shows.
But I would genuinely welcome a return to gentlemen wearing suits and ties and hats everywhere. I love the look. And I do have a couple suits but I'd go down to Men's Wearhouse and grab a coupe more. (I like suits but I'm not tryna be a Brooks brother).
I always dress formally-ish on cruises on the elegant nights. (Actually in my kilt and Prince Charlie jacket). I like getting dressed up and it always amuses me watching older movies and TV shows and seeing men wearing suits to go bowling or a baseball game lol.
I know I could do it without anyone else doing it but it seems like less fun.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
