Was thinking tonight that there's no bond like an interspecies bond. It's humbling and exceptionally precious. I've been deeply honored by the trust, friendship, and love of my animals.
And I'm missing my dogs terribly tonight. My last Lab passed just 8 days ago - I miss my Ogee boy more than I ever realized I would.

What was your Golden's name? I feel that mentioning their names in some small way honors them.
Losing our fur kids is one of the hardest things in life. So sad that we outlive them, but it would be worse if we had to leave them behind for someone else to determine their fate.
You've had some wonderful dogs, and gave them great lives.

I agree w/ you about the teasing. I actually thought the "dog mommy" was a bit obnoxious, to be honest. Tucker is an absolute angel though!
I am so sorry to hear about your beloved Ogee! I know how heartbreaking it is and they leave such a huge hole that is so hard to fill when they go.
