Five felines huddled on, and in no obvious hurry to move from, a ground-level Starlink dish.
.... the dishs Snow Melt Mode is the most likely culprit. The feature, launched in 2020, allows self-heating capabilities to prevent snow build-up from interfering with the satellites signal, the Tesla- and SpaceX-focused news outlet reported.
.... the cats in question have ample warm and indoor alternatives to suit their lounging needs, all of which they ignore in favor of the $499 terminal.

(34,136 posts)The first cool front that came through in the fall, my signal stopped. I called tech support and they talked me through the various trouble shooting steps, reboot the receiver and other stuff. No change.
Finally the tech asked me to step outside to look at the dish. First thing when I opened the door an anole lizard jumped off the top of the door frame onto my head. I sort of shrieked and the tech was worried.
Then I shone the flashlight at the dish. There was a little frog sitting happily on the little thing on the dish that collected the signal. I cracked up laughing. The tech was freaked - once I explained, the tech wanted to know if I lived in a jungle what with lizards and frogs. I told him it was just Florida.
Oh, I got out a broom and knocked the frog off the dish and my satellite signal returned!
