Is there a charity watchdog group that rates local charity groups?

I'm looking for a website where I can pluck in a name to find out if they have a private preference or policy that might keep them from providing services to a diverse group of people

The cause is a good one, but it is a ministry. I don't want to have to judge based on the pictures. But the reviews are good.
