Question for the truck drivers amongst us...this is not a test, lol

I need your informed opinions, because I trust DU'ers more than random commenters on boards I've never heard of before...
If someone you knew wanted to drive for a living, but needed training and had received an offer from Swift Transportation and also an offer from Schneider, which one would you recommend, and why? Is there another company you'd recommend instead?

Offer as far as days out on the road, the pay of course, and any benes they offer. You might check to see if there is some site online where drivers talk about their jobs or other informative sites.

It does have a lot to do with what they are offering you and whether they are honest about it or not. Also check to see what terms are for time off and those sorts of things. If they train you, they may require that you stay employed by them for a given length pf time during which things can get ugly so be aware that once you're out on the road, your support network gets real thin and they can take advantage of you so watch your back no matter what.

Looks at cars for a year before he decides which ones he's interested in even test driving. Lol. They seem to be pretty close, one might have a slight advantage in one way, whereas the other has the advantage in something else.
Thanks!

Eenie, meenie, minie, moe. Pick one and go for it.

It's not the worst thing to look at the world through a windshield and get paid for it.

Never N-E-V-E-R ever fall for the "buy your truck from us and be an owner/operator driving for us while you make payments on your truck to us!"

Never.
Not even once.

You fail EVERY time and end up broke, with nothing to show for it...not even the equity you THOUGHT you had in the truck.
