I'm getting monoclonal antibodies tomorrow

Had a routine doc exam for blood pressure and stuff today, and he brought it up because I'm immune compromised. Apparently they have gotten approval for preventative doses, and I think I'm the first one in the area...they just got it in yesterday I think. Anyways I'm the only patient of his that qualifies.

I'll let you know how it goes....if I don't drop dead from allergic reaction or heart attack. Those are possible side effects.

yes, please keep us posted; do all you can to stay safe

I'm assuming you can hang out for a while at the doc's to ensure no allergic reaction or heart attack ensues

An allergy doctor
After every shot I had to stay
In the office for 20 minutes no exceptions.

So you will probably be asked to stay in the office for 20 minutes.

Antibodies are usually for something specific...COVID, meningitis, etc.

I thought too. Thought you actually had to have the virus to receive them. Guess not.

Vaccines don't work well for at least some immuno compromised. I just lost a vaxxed and boosted immuno compromised relative to covid.

The heart attack/allergic reactions risks are VERY low - and if u r in the .05% u r in the hospital already.

He got covid and his pulse/ox dropped to 79. He had to be in hospital overnight while they administrated the anti-bodies because of possible adverse reactions. He started feeling better while he was still on the IV. He is not anti-vaccine, but distrusts how quickly the covid vaccine was developed.

I hope it helps. That must be what being rich is like. I can’t imagine being that wealthy.

Ut from where I am, you are.

You have insurance. I can’t conceive of a way to afford it. As for retirement, that will never happen. I will die working.

I’m happy for you. Enjoy it for me and others like me.

There’s only one that works for Omicron. Also , surprised since they had such limited supply of that one.
