2. takes me back

I was living with my aunt and uncle in small Iowa town, went to school very late one day and was put in detention....was told I could not "flaunt the rules" because I was from out of town. The reason I was late was because my aunt had taken an overdose of sleeping pills and was taken to the hospital. I stayed until someone could come take care of her two toddlers (my uncle was at work and then at the hospital). The school folk never asked me why I was so late.
