We lived on the edge of a small farming community on about 3/4s of an acre. We had a huge front yard. Next door was a large fenced-in field and horse barn with several horses. They would come get pets and apples from me. Anyway, it was Christmas Day, and the sun was setting, and my brother and I were playing with whatever gifts we had gotten in front of the living room's large picture window when two of the horses came joyfully running catty-corner across the yard, going into the backyard of the neighbor's and then on into the wheat field behind our houses. It was a very beautiful moment... ruined by the fact that we now had to get all our snow clothes on and go get the horses.

I always wish that they were a bit taller, but there is something special about them. Very majestic.

I did every week to a small town in Kansas. Across the road from this factory was a fenced in field with a beautiful horse. While they were loading my trailer I would walk over to the fence and give the horse an apple. I did this every week for months. When that horse saw my tractor and trailer backing into the dock it would trot across the field just like the horse in this video and wait patiently for his apple. It was almost as entertaining as barking at little dogs.
