The fact that they're not already in there is a travesty. And guess who the leading vote getter is this year? Dolly Parton?!?! Seriously? I think she's wonderful but she's hardly a rock and roller.

Dolly's a great person but between her and some of the other nominees/inductees of late, is it really the Rock Hall of Fame?

I only got to see them live once, and they were amazing! The famous Tartar Field concert, which you can see on youtube!

The RRHOF is a massive joke, just an excuse for former Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner to feel powerful and important and hob nob with celebrities.

Consider this Hall of Fame, supposedly created to honour legends of Rock & Roll who otherwise would not get the recognition they deserve, has the following “Rock & Rollers” as members:

Miles Davis
Madonna
ABBA
Joan Baez
Joni Mitchell
LL Cool J
NWA

And proposed inductee for 2022, Dolly Parton.

Now, all these artists may be legends, and well deserving of recognition, but they sure heck ain’t Rock & Roll…

3. I voted for both MC5 and Dolly

Hands down, MC5 defines what rock and roll is all about. And Dolly Parton is a rare artist who transcends the musical genre, similar to how Johny Cash was. She was enormously influential with her contemporaries, in her early pure country styling and subsequent expansion into the pop-rock realm. Not to forget that the roots of rock are partly from country music, as much as blues and R&B. Her soundtrack contributions ("9 to 5" and "I Will Always Love You&quot were also noteworthy. And hey, a slight bias here, but she is just an all-around good person!

I am partial to Dolly..
