(5,381 posts)and the warehouse for the food service company we use is conveniently located in that same town. Whenever we send my boss husband up there to pick up some items, he brings us back a dozen donuts. Hes a peach. Dang, those fresh donuts are amazing! Melt in your mouth fluffy sweet perfection. Sadly, they dont stay warm on the way back, but we pop them in the oven for a quick, very light reheating.

(121 posts)I once had the fortune to walk into a Krispy Kreme when a batch of crullers were coming out. Hot, melt-in-your-mouth with an initial soft crunch as you first bite into it....it's one of my fondest doughnut memories.

(6,437 posts)Krispy Kreme brand, as I've never had any other as good.
Kroger glazed deli donuts are the most cost effective at $3.99 a dozen, but easily $2.49 to 2.99 when on sale. 25 seconds in the microwave and they're as good as regular KK glazed when hot, and they're bigger.
