Got a text asking me about my recent experience with Xfinity. I used the down thumb.
Next I am getting a long text about "Xfinity Advanced Security already included with your service at no extra charge."
Next. as of January 1 2021 (2021?) Norton Security online is no longer and I can now sign up with Norton directly for a new plan.
Here is the deal: for the past several months I have been getting emails from "Norton" renewing my subscription. And, of course a phone number to inquire.
I don't have an account with Norton and they can "charge" whatever account they want. At least now these emails go directly to the junk folder.
I don't know what to think. I did text that my problem was not resolved during my call, that all I wanted was to ask whether an email telling my that my password would expire was legit or a scam. (In my previous post where I am grateful for all the replies.)
I'd hate to think that now I will get scam texts on my iPhone. I don't think that I've ever got scam texts..

(102,501 posts)Hover over the email address of the sender and I suspect you will find they are some gobbledygook letters and numbers at a gmail or other throwaway account and not being sent from either Norton or (most of those you describe not coming from Comcast as well).
if you are clicking on them including any links you may be compounding your problems. Send any from email addresses that don't look official to your spam filter.
